The history of Dama's Gambit is intertwined with the same principles of modern gambling, being the opening cited in the first books published on the science game, such as the manuscript of Gotinga (1490) and the books of Ruy Lopez (1561) and Salvio ( 1604), in which it is cited, even though the first match that appears in the match bases is a correspondence to the famous match between Alexander McDonnell and Louis De Labourdonnais (1834).
 With the new tendencies of positional play led by Steinitz at the end of the XIX century, the openings of the foot of the Lady gained a remarkable space in practice, and logically the Gambit of Dama Declinado is one of the systems that began to be common in the practice of them conductors. For the decade of the 20s, he dominated the scene so much that it took place in the majority of matches of the match for the world title between the then champion Lasker and his challenger, Capablanca, and this appearance was almost unanimous in the matches of the following match, celebrated in Buenos Aires 1927 between Capablanca and Alekhine.
